Music Room (the “Service”) is an audio experience service operated by BP Inc. (“we”, “us”, or “our”). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and handle personal information and related data in connection with the Service.

1. Information we collect

We may collect the following categories of information:

  • Account information: email address and authentication provider (such as email, Google, or Apple)
  • Profile information: display name, handle, avatar, bio, and other information you choose to provide
  • Usage data: room activity, listening history, Moments, Playlists, followed channels, saved Playlists, and room participation data
  • Billing-related information: plan type, Stripe customer IDs, subscription IDs, and related billing management data

We do not store full card details ourselves; payment information is processed by Stripe

  • Contact submissions: your name, email address, inquiry type, and message
  • Technical information: cookies, authentication sessions, invite-access cookies, browser/device information, access logs, and analytics identifiers

2. How we use information

We use collected information to:

  • provide, maintain, and improve the Service
  • manage authentication, accounts, plans, and billing
  • power Rooms, Moments, Playlists, listening history, reports, and related features
  • prevent abuse, investigate security issues, and respond to incidents
  • respond to contact requests
  • analyze product usage, improve UX, and optimize advertising

3. Third-party services

We rely on third-party services to operate the Service. Data may be processed under each provider’s terms and privacy policies.

  • Supabase: database, authentication, and storage
  • Stripe: billing, checkout, and subscription management
  • Vercel: hosting, delivery, and operational logs
  • Resend: contact notification email delivery
  • Google Analytics: product analytics
  • Google AdSense: advertising
  • YouTube / Google APIs: official YouTube embeds and channel/video metadata. Use of YouTube API Services is subject to the Google Privacy Policy

4. About YouTube content

Music Room uses YouTube API Services and the official YouTube embedded player to display content. By using our Service, you agree to the YouTube Terms of Service.

  • We do not re-upload, redistribute, or offer downloads of YouTube videos
  • We do not provide audio-only extraction or background playback
  • Ad delivery, view counting, and monetization behavior are determined by YouTube settings, delivery conditions, and viewing environment
  • Music Room does not receive YouTube ad revenue
  • Through the YouTube embedded player, Google may collect viewing data and technical information. For details, see the Google Privacy Policy

5. Public information

When you choose to make content public, the following information may become visible to other users:

  • public profile information
  • public Playlist names, descriptions, contents, and publish dates
  • room display information such as room title, state, and participation-related signals for public rooms

If a Playlist is later changed back to private, it may stop appearing in public pages and saved-list views.

6. Cookies and similar technologies

We use cookies and similar technologies for:

  • keeping you signed in
  • session management
  • verifying invite-room access
  • analytics, advertising, and service quality improvements

If you disable cookies in your browser, some parts of the Service may not work correctly.

7. Retention

We retain information for as long as reasonably necessary to provide the Service, maintain security, prevent abuse, comply with law, and manage backups.

Even after account deletion or service cancellation, some data may be retained where needed for billing records, fraud prevention, legal obligations, or backup retention.

Subject to applicable law, you may request:

  • access

  • deletion
  • restriction of use

9. Security

We take reasonable measures to protect information against unauthorized access, disclosure, loss, destruction, and misuse. Communications are protected with SSL/TLS.
