Terms of Service

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of Music Room (the “Service”), provided by BP Inc. (“we”, “us”, or “our”). By using the Service, you agree to these Terms.

1. Service overview

Music Room is a listening experience built around official YouTube embeds, Rooms, Solo listening, Moments, and Playlists.

  • Music Room does not re-upload or redistribute YouTube content
  • Shared Rooms are not a perfect-sync product; they are designed as a way to share the same flow and join a shared timeline
  • Music Room does not guarantee background playback of YouTube content

2. Accounts

  • You must create an account and log in to use the Service
  • We may support email magic links, Google sign-in, Apple sign-in, and similar authentication methods
  • You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account
  • Major features such as room participation, history, Moments, and Playlist saving require login

3. Rooms, Moments, and Playlists

  • You may create, join, and browse Rooms through the Service
  • Playlists may be switched between private and public visibility
  • Public Playlists may be discovered, viewed, and saved by other users
  • If a public Playlist is later made private, it may stop appearing in public listings and saved-list views
  • Shared Rooms prioritize a shared flow and shared source over perfect playback synchronization

4. Plans and billing

  • The Service offers Free, Plus, and Pro plans
  • The final price, currency, and any trial availability are determined by what is shown at checkout
  • As current examples, Plus may be offered at JPY 480 or USD 3.99 per month, and Pro at JPY 1,280 or USD 9.99 per month
  • Plus may include a 14-day free trial when shown at checkout
  • Billing, checkout, and subscription management are handled through Stripe
  • Cancellation and payment-method changes should be managed through the Stripe billing portal or other methods shown in the Service

5. Third-party content and monetization

  • Rights to YouTube content remain with the applicable rights holders and channel operators
  • Ad delivery, view counting, and monetization behavior are determined by YouTube settings, delivery conditions, and viewing environment
  • Music Room does not receive YouTube ad revenue
  • The Service is intended to support discovery, context, and traffic flow toward YouTube content

6. Prohibited conduct

You may not:

  • attempt unauthorized access, exploit vulnerabilities, or impose excessive load on the Service
  • use bots, scraping tools, or other automation for abusive purposes
  • download, redistribute, or re-publish Service content or YouTube content through the Service without permission
  • harass creators, users, or operators
  • provide false information or impersonate others
  • violate law, public order, these Terms, or third-party rights

7. Disclaimers

  • We do not guarantee uninterrupted availability, accuracy, completeness, or fitness for a particular purpose
  • Playback and display may change or stop due to YouTube removals, privacy changes, embed restrictions, ad behavior, or platform changes
  • Playback may differ between users in the same Room because of ads, network conditions, device differences, or browser constraints
  • To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for damages arising from use of the Service except where caused by our willful misconduct or gross negligence

8. Changes and suspension

We may modify, suspend, or discontinue all or part of the Service when reasonably necessary.

9. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. If changes are material, we will notify users through the Service or by another appropriate method.

10. Governing law and jurisdiction

  • These Terms are governed by the laws of Japan
  • The Tokyo District Court shall have exclusive jurisdiction at first instance for disputes relating to the Service
